BTS at CR’s Fall 2019 Show
Inspired by the pastel-hued paintings of Hilma af Klint and the gradient effect of wet on wet painting, Cynthia’s Fall 2019 palette echoed nature’s ombre — the sky at dawn and dusk.
When conceptualizing the look for the collection’s poolside show, makeup artist, Marcelo Costa applied Cynthia’s influences and gave them a pop art twist (à la Warhol’s sunset series).
A combination of bold shimmering eyes and neutral lips channeled ‘60s mod icons and added a dose of ‘70s glam (think Edie Sedgwick meets Ziggy Stardust).
The theatrical makeup was softened by loose, natural waves by Brendan O’Sullivan of UNITE Hair — and this contrast created a pretty magical effect.
