Fall 2019 NYFW Show
Cynthia presented her Fall 2019 Collection poolside, showing a bevy of silhouettes inspired by the fantasy of nature’s ombre, and the dawn of a new day. A signature mix of pretty prints, sporty wetsuits, and the ultimate element of surprise made for a high-spirited show.
“The sun is always rising and always setting somewhere in the world so a wetsuit or a light pretty dress makes sense, just throw a fluffy parka over it. It’s a blizzard during NYFW and 100 degrees in Australia. It’s time that we start thinking about seasons from a global all-inclusive perspective.” - CR
“Even when I’m the most dressed up, I secretly wish I was in a wetsuit at the beach. Everybody loves a secret. Even more than that, everybody loves to be in on the secret. For this same reason, we chose a hidden oasis at the London Terrace Towers pool to kick off the collection with a splash.” - CR
"Cynthia Rowley made a splash at this New York Fashion Week. The designer staged a runway show, with her hilarious, fun twist at the indoor pool... Models circled the pool in loads of swishy...flirty dresses. Some were printed with artful fruits and florals, others glistened in lamé or flounced about in layers of tulle, ruffles and feathers... the pastel ombré effect, seen throughout the collection, mimicked what Rowley considers nature’s ombré — sunrises and sunsets." - WWD
